We adapted Scrum a bit by allowing for releases during a Sprint such as patches, but we account for these during planning and they are subject to a full regression cycle by the Team. This allowed for us to react in a more timely fashion since we are dependent on Form updates by the IRS and these don't always fall on 4wk boundaries. We also have a highly distributed team and use WebEx now exclusively for our Daily Scrum's instead of a normal stand-up session. The biggest challenge we have is creating more granular and tightly written PBIs - this is an area I've been working with the PO's on for some time.
