“The Scrum Product Owner Song”

Sung to the tune of "If I only had a Brain," a song in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz by Harold Arlen (music) and E.Y. Harburg (lyrics)

revised lyrics by: Brent Barton

If I want my software runnin'

I better start a-Scrumin'

To keep us in the game

I would as the team to work with me

And plan for a Sprint you see

If I only had a brain

We would focus on reality

Encouraging transparency

Regardless of the pain

At least with truth we’d be thinkin’

Whether we re a-sinkin’

If I only had a brain

Oh, I can tell you why

We’d be happier than before

We’d inspect and adapt ourselves to the core

And then we’d re-plan and Sprint some more

I would not be just a nothin’

My head all full of stuffin’

We’re releasin’ all the way

Then the world would be merry and the project not so scary

If I only had a brain
